Vice President

CHELSEA WHITTON

The Vice President assists the President in pursuing the goals of UWiB. She is primarily responsible for speaker relations, by contacting and procuring speakers. She oversees the progress of the organization and works closely with many members of the Executive Board.

As Vice President of UWiB, Chelsea hopes to encourage and inspire undergraduate women in business to meet their full potential. She is excited to see the club expand and wants to provide new and exciting opportunities for members’ learning and development, especially through community involvement. Chelsea is honored to be a part of the leadership team and wants to support the organization’s members in any way she can.

Chelsea is a senior at the University of Washington, where she is pursuing a double degree in communication and business, with a concentration in marketing. She was accepted into the Michael G. Foster School of Business as a freshman and has been a member of the Undergraduate Women in Business since she was a sophomore. Chelsea participates in many of the philanthropy events offered through UWiB, most recently becoming involved with the mentorship program in connection with the Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA). Outside of UWiB, Chelsea was recently inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the top international honors society for business students, as well as Phi Beta Kappa, an honors society that recruits the top arts and sciences students at America’s leading colleges and universities.

In her free time, Chelsea enjoys listening to music, playing the piano, reading, doing crossword puzzles and going to UW sporting events, especially football, men’s basketball and gymnastics. Chelsea also loves hanging out with her friends, exploring the city of Seattle, and traveling. Last summer, Chelsea went on an exploration seminar to Ireland for two weeks, and this summer she will be studying in Venice for three months.
